Otherwise we will only share your personal information if you have consented to this. As part of our services we will need to share your personal data, which may include Special Category data with Counsellors, psychotherapists and students. We will ask you to consent to this and if you do not consent then we may not be able to provide you with the services you require.
(b) All Counsellors, psychotherapists and students are registered with the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office) unless they are our employees who will be covered by Live Life Happy Therapy’s own registration and comply with their Data Protection obligations and responsibilities accordingly.
(c) Where relevant, we take all steps required by law to protect personal data such as, for example, having written agreements with those third parties.
(d) Online Video Therapy

5 Confidentiality and Secrets Policy
(1) Subject to any exceptions when we must break confidentiality if required by law (for example, in relation to certain criminal activity and/or offences such as terrorism. Drug and substance abuse and child protection) or to prevent serious harm, all our sessions are confidential.
(2) Couple and Family Secrets Policy – However, when we work with you as a couple or family, you are all our client together in one unit rather than individuals. To help build trust and support open, respectful therapy, we follow this Secrets Policy:
(a) Session confidentiality - No individual should discuss or what’s said in a session outside of the counselling, therapy or sessions without explicit permission from the others.
(b) Shared Confidence - If someone speaks to us privately or outside joint sessions, we won’t pass that information on unless they give us clear permission.
(c) When Secrets Affect Progress - If something private could affect others or block progress, we may suggest:
(i) Talking about it together in a session and/or
(ii) Having separate, individual therapy and/or
(iii) Reviewing whether joint therapy is still right.
6 YOUR PERSONAL DATA RIGHTS

If there is going to be a delay (which could be up to 3 months) in dealing with your request or there is a reason why we can’t comply with your request, we will let you know and explain why within one month of receiving your request.

7 DATA RETENTION - HOW LONG DO WE KEEP PERSONAL DATA FOR?
