At Live Life Happy Therapy, we offer a small number of placements each year to students who want to build confidence, gain experience, and take meaningful steps towards becoming the therapist they’re training to be.

You’ll have the chance to work with real clients, develop your therapeutic voice, and feel supported as you grow into your professional identity.

We understand how important this stage of your journey is, and we’re here to support you in stepping into it with care, courage, and clarity.

What we’re looking for

We welcome applications from students in the later stages of their counselling or psychotherapy training who are ready to begin working with clients as part of their placement.

If you're reliable, reflective, and keen to grow your confidence in a supportive setting, this could be a good fit. We're looking for students who are passionate about the work, open to feedback, and ready to take their next steps towards becoming a skilled and grounded therapist.

What you can expect

We offer a thoughtful, supportive placement experience where you're not just left to get on with it. Alongside the opportunity to see clients and build your hours, you'll have regular check-in space to reflect as you grow in confidence as you grow in confidence and develop your own therapeutic style. We also share useful resources, guidance, and insights to help you feel more grounded in your work.

Once qualified, there may be opportunities to join Live Life Happy Therapy as an associate. While this will depend on timing and fit, we’re always open to growing our team and supporting therapists own growth in private practice who share our values.
